In Cameroon, in granaries and other storage structures, grains are exposed to many insect pests. These insects produce important damages meaning nutritional problems for local populations, mainly during the transition between dry and wet season. Presently, pesticides are used to protect the stocks but lead to environment and health problems. Traditional farmer knowledge use plant extracts as repellent to protect grains. The aim of the present knowledge is to improve these utilization of local biodiversity resources to solve a problem, notably by using and characterizing essential oil from these plants
