Abstract
The objective of this project is to adjust the water management of the streams in the basin of the Groot Schijn to the existing ecological potentials. The ecological value of the whole river basin shall be examined, where the main streams and their valleys will be looked at in more details. Based on these inventories several possibilities for ecological restoration of the streams and valleys will be presented.The University of Antwerp is responsible for the inventories of streams and valleys, the survey of the biological water quality and the necessary acquaintance with the study area.
