The project aims at identifying an unequivocal link between concentrations of mineral N in the soil prople and nitrate concentrations in drainage water. This objective will be persued by a combination of field data analysis, simulation techniques and experimental research. The work package dealt with in this research unit encompasses the unravelling of relations between soil parameters (texture, soil organic matter content,...) and nitrogen mineralisation rate.
