Abstract

We try to explain the performance of species of the Hydrocotylo-Baldellion in relation to some abiotic factors and their competitive environment, in a causal manner. Therefore, their field response is described thoughout their distribution area (Atlantic Europe), and experimental work is carried out. We want to state hypotheses regarding the role of plant functional types in this ecosystem
