Abstract

This project is aimed at examining, through the use of a simple food-web model, the influence of acclimatization and adaption (of the organisms) on the bioaccumulation and effects of heavy metals in aquatic ecosystems. The bioaccumulation processes (1) and the effects on the biochemical fysiological and population level of the organisms will be studied and a mathematicalaa model coupling exposure, bioaccumulation and effects, will be developed.
