Abstract

This project pursues a research on structural biodiversity of the hyperbenthos along depth gradients in different geographical regions and the role played by this group of animals in ecosystem functioning. Objectives of this research:
1. Inventarisation of all hyperbenthic organisms.
2. Study of the ecological, taxonomical and genetic diversity.
3. Study of alpha, beta and gamma diversity.
