Abstract

To assess the effects of forest fragmentation on populations of Coelotes terrestris, a combined genetic and ecological approach will be used. With RAPD markers, we intend to investigate the genetic diversity and differentiation of twenty populations distrubuted over Flanders. Ecological characteristics e.g. mean size of females at breeding, number and size of eggs and fluctuating asymmetry will be studied.
