Abstract

This project firstly aims to get an idea about the meiobenthic biodiversity, emphasizing on free-living marine nematodes of European sandy beaches. These beaches are under strong anthropogenic pressure which has substantial impact on the interstitial life and functioning of the coastal ecosystem. Nematodes are very suitable as bio-indicator and will be used in the second part to monitore sandy beaches.
