A vegetation relevé databank is developed that should cover all relevés ever made in Flanders in the for-mentioned biotopes. Analysis of these data should lead to the distinction of habitat types, which are obviously primarily based on vegetation characters. Once habitat types have been distinguished further researched is done to describe general characteristics, genesis, environmental characteristics, flora and fauna indicators, distribution, nature value and necessity of management.
