In a fragmented Afrotropical cloud forest (Taita Hills), we will study the dispersal and settlement strategies of an ecological model species (White-starred Robin, Pogonocichla stellata). Based on radio-telemetry, removal experiments and genetic microsatellite-DNA analysis, we will try to correlate characteristics of the fragments, individuals, dispersal and settlement strategies, inbreeding and fitness.
