<!-- content starts here --><!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="Content" -->Habitat loss, disturbance and isolation threaten long term survival of flora and fauna in fragmented Afrotropical cloud forests. The objective of this research project is to contribute to the development of management and restoration techniques for such forest fragments, in particular for the forests of Taita Hills, Kenya. The aim is to assess the efficiency of bird communities as an ecological low-tech indicator of stand structural complexity compared to labor intensive species composition and stand structure measurements
