Abstract

Entrophication of nutrient-limited ecosystems leads to increases in primary production and hence to a decrease in biodiversity. Where the nutrient limitation is due to P, adequate methods and rational concepts are lacking. Predicting mineralisation of organic P especially is extremely difficult in view of the absence of reliable validation methods. This project aims at remediating this situation.
