Abstract

This project will focus on certain key processes in the storage of carbon in terrestrial ecosystems. These controlling factors are: a) soil management practices (e.g. tillage, fertilizer regimes, residue quality, dry/wet cycles) and the effects on soil erosion, soil aggregation and carbon sequestration in a complete watershed; b) changes in biodiversity, CO2 concentrations and temperature and effects on soil aggregation and carbon sequestration.
