The objective of the project is to select soils for toxicity studies of copper and zinc. We will select and sample uncontaminated topsoils with contrasting properties that may affect the toxicity of Cu and Zn in the soil. Further, a range of Cu (or Zn) only contaminated soils in a Cu (or Zn) gradient will be sampled, including a non contaminated reference soil.
