Abstract

Identification of the dominant Amphipod species of the macrobenthos of the Weddell Sea (Kapp Norvegia) and King George Island (Admiralty Bay). Characterization of the habitat and microhabitat structure and geographic and bathymetric distribution. Identification of life styles. Identification of the predators (stomach contents analyses of fishes and birds). Preliminary modelling of the function of the different trophic groupes.
