Abstract
Biosystematic research is executed for representatives of the tribes Pavetteae and Ixoreae (Rubiaceae). Next to revisions and monographic work this also includes detailed morphological, anatomical, palynological studies. At the moment the genus Tarenna s.l. in Madagascar is the main study focus. This genus complex includes circa eight genera (Enterospermum, Homolliella, Homollea, Ixora, Paracephaelis, Schizenterospermum, Robbrechtia, Tarenna) which are urgently in need of generic delimitation and monographic study. Later on more groups of Malagasy Rubiaceae will be studied.
