Abstract

This study encompasses three major parts. The first describes the abiotic environment and an historical land use reconstruction based on available maps. In the second part a vegetation map covering the entire area will be made based on field observation. Indicator species will be used to make species distribution maps. The last section will describe grashoppers, dragon flies, beetles, butterflies and breeding bird species diversity in the major habitat types. This survey forms the basis from which an ecosystem vision of the entire project area will be developed and it will also enable the development of more detailed management plans on local scale.
