During the project we will make well discussed definitions of sustainable breeding and reproduction, generic and detailed for fish. We will also make an inventory of research and business efforts and of knowledge gaps. Issues that will be handled are: undesirable side effects of breeding and reproduction, new technologies, e.g. transgenic and cloning, their constraints possibilities of tradition breeding methods, integration of traditional and new breeding and reproduction methods, biodiversity, the possibilities of computing and handling data, possibilities for market diversification. Ethical aspects will also be discussed.
