This research work consists in simulating re-allocation, growth and re-distribution patterns under alternative reforms of agriculture and trade in Benin. Emphasis is put on the intersectoral, interregional and interclass shifts of resources and revenues. Through a methodology combining computable household and general equilibrium models, the analysis seeks to take into account the non-separable behavior of households, with the hope to shed more lights to certain conclusions commonly made in standard general equilibrium analysis rather grounded on an assumption of separability. It is expected that the results will contribute to inform the design of strategies for Benin to adapt to on-going changes into its regional and multilateral trade relations.
