The project aims at establishing an econometric modelling system that combines, detailed, country- specific models into an accurate representation of agri-food and forestry in form of a composite EU model. For each EU commodity market a key price will be established to which prices in each of the countries (14) will be linked. For a shared set of EU exogenous variables to the model as well as key prices, each fo the partners will develop models to reflect their home country conditions and then go into the EU composite model which will show the impacts of policy, and other changes, to a 10 year horizon. Projections include those for major agricultural products, inputs, direct payments, incomes, forestry and environmental indicators and EU budget expenditure.
