The perennial ryegrass growth is modelled on the basis of simple equations. These equations concern : LAI increase after a cut on the basis of temperature, radiation (PAR) interception for a given LAI, transformation of intercepted radiation into biomass, senescence on the basis of temperature, impact of nitrogen and water stress on LAI increase, on the coefficient of transformation of radiation into biomass and on the senescence rate.
