The project aims:- to confirm identification of B. cepacia complex and similar bacterial isolates from CF patients;- to monitor the emergence of novel and rare CF pathogens;- to act as a strain repository for the preservation of all these isolates and create a database for the accompanying information;- to genotype isolates to investigate potential nosocomial or person-to-person transmission;- to interact with support other researchers by exploiting the strain collection and the information therein
