Abstract
Goal is to weigh pros and contras of different management options (1) preservation of forest, (2) deforestation, (3) preservation of non-forest, (4) afforestation in a valley area, with an eye to create maximal biodiversity in the valley as a whole. To evaluate the actual and potential biodiversity, use is made of avifauna and flora, in relation with forest structure, (previous) land use and soil properties.
