Abstract
Aim of the project:- Chitinozoan biostratigrapny of the candidate GSSP sections for the base of the 'Caradoc' and 'Ashgill' stages, and of other Upper Ordovician key sections on Avalonia and Laurentia; - establishing an Upper Ordovvician chitinozoan biozonation on both palaeocontinents and calibrate this biozonation with graptolite and conodont biozonations; - Studying palaeobiogeography of chitinozoans.
