Different parameters of the breeding biology of the Common tern are studied in different colonies along a gradient from heavily to unpolluted sites. From each colony several eggs were analysed in the laboratory. Several chemical, biochemical and fysiological parameters were measured. The combination of field and laboratory data must provide more insight into the effects of PCB's and PAH's on common terns. The former Institute for Nature Conservation was a partner in this project
