The Galápagos archipelago is known as the laboratory of evolution. Until now evolutionary-genetic studies of Galápagos organisms have been restricted to vertebrates and plants. This project aims at yielding insights in the population genetic structure and evolution of insects on Galápagos, providing essential information necessary for nature conservation policies.
