Abstract

The adult fox tapeworm is an parasite of the intestine of foxes and the larval stage is found in rodents. In rare occasions humans can become infected. Infection with the larval stage in humans is often fatal. The eco-epidemiology of the parasite is still not very well known. In this study we will try to investigate which ecological factors contribute to the distribution and transmission of the parasite in both the natural host and rodents.
