Precision farming may be defined as the ability to vary inputs in the field spatially, based on crop and soil monitoring re- sults. Within this project new monitoring techniques are deve- loped and tested in the field: 1) on-line measurement of the crop condition during the growing season; 2) measurement of chemical and physical soil characteristics; 3) measurement of yield, crop quality and crop conditions; 4) calibration of the measurements based on field and laboratory experiments.
