Abstract
The major aim of this project is to investigate the delimitation and the interfamilial relationships of the order Ericales sensu APG. Therefore we will focuss on: 1) morphological-anatomical studies within the order; 2) molecular systematics of Balsaminaceae, Marcgraviaceae and Ebenaceae; and 3) genetic control of flower development in Balsaminaceae and Marcgraviaceae.
