Abstract
Black alder is the most important tree species of humid soils and river banks. The objective of this research is to adapt forest management (site choice and sylvicultural techniques) to the specificities of black alder and its sites, in relation toriver ecosystem, biodiversity, water quality, hydrological regulation. There are 3 steps in this research: i) study of black alder autecology and humid forest sites, including site classification ii) site productivity study iii) guidelines for sylviculture in relation to site classification and productivity
