The aims of the project are: (1) to study the entomological biodiversity (pests and beneficials) in vegetable crops, (2) to realise the systematic monitoring of pest populations and to determine the treatment thresholds of some pesticides, (3) to assess the efficacy thresholds of beneficial insects in relation to several pesticide treatments and (4) to propose programs of integrated pest management based on the use of suitable pesticides for biological control agents.
