Abstract
The project proposed consists of three major studies: first I will study the systematic usefulness of orbicule characteristics in the basal asterids; in a second study, I will investigate the development of orbicules using histochemical methods; the localisation of the allergen Bet v 7 will be studied in the anthers of important allergenic species in a third study.
