The recent molluscs collection at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences is one of the major world malacological collections, with an estimated 9 million specimens arranged in more than 700.000 samples.This collection is for practical and historical reasons subdivided in a general collection and the Ph. Dautzenberg collection.
