Abstract

Active restoration of species-rich grasslands by sowing is being researched. Seeds produced by the project ECOTYPES (another research project of the laboratory of Grassland Ecology) were sown in different proportions and different dates to test the feasibility of actively restoring species-rich grasslands. Botanical relieves (Braun-Blanquet) are also being taken each spring in these sites. In parallel, germination studies (tests, germination related to nutrients quantities, light quantity or quality) and dormancy breaking research have been carried out.
