Abstract

The main topic at the moment is collecting starting material for the elaboration of autochthonous seed orchards of all native woody species that are often planted nowadays. Next to this, gene banks are being concepted for rare woody species. Special attention has already been given to the collection of native wild roses, native willows, native hay thorns and native lime trees. A herbarium has been elaborated for native wild roses (Rosa spp.) and native hay thorns (Crataegus spp.).
