The indicators aim at incorporating relevant information about a firm's integration within its economic, social and ecological context, and enlightening the decision makers about the consequences of their actions or policies. They are being developed starting from the productive efficiency formalism, while accounting for relevant aspects of life cycle analysis as well as analogous indicators developed at the state level.
