This unit develops genomics (DNA sequencing) and proteomics (2D electrophoresis, protein sequencing) facilities for the local scientific community. In addition, more integrated projects are run: analysis of the expressed genes (Expressed Sequence Tags) and the proteome of chicory as well as the electrophoretic analysis and the identification of membrane proteins.
