In order to help rural households increase crop and animal productivity and better target local and regional market opportunities, it is proposed to develop decision support tools (DST) through an integrative approach that explicitly incorporates the impact of crop and livestock intensification options on the productivity of crop-livestock systems, farmers’ priorities and strategies, as well as its consequences on the market prices and functioning. The tools will be validated for three benchmark sites in Niger : Fakara (Niamey, west), Gabi (Maradi, central) and Zermou (Zinder, east).
