Abstract

Endocrine disruption in indigenous fish (Tinca tinca) and roach (Rutilus rutilus)) will be detected. Therefore, molecular probes will be developed using Reverse Transcriptas Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). When aromatase, androgen receptor, witellogenin can be detected with this technique, field studies will be conducted to estimate the extent of endocrine disruption in Flemish waters.
