This project handels on quality of poplar and poplar clones focused on physical and mechanical properties and also new possible applications for this material. The quality of other indegenious species is examined. The project describes further the relation between the growth and the environment and wood as a renewable resource. A manual for the grading of lying and standing trees will be developed.
