Abstract

The Kyoto Protocol allows C sequestration in agriculture to demonstrate CO2 removals. Elevated CO2 might affect C accrual rates. The aim of the bilateral cooperation with China is to assess the response elevated CO2 of a typical rice wheat rotation to (1) C sequestration, (2) the relation between C accrual and C quality and N transformations, and (3) to CH4 emissions.
