Abstract
The potentialities of mycorrhizal fungi for phytoremediation projects will be explored in heavy metal contaminated soils, salt marshes, soils polluted by PAH and metals and soil polluted with radionuclides. Both ecto- and enodomycorrhizal fungi will be assayed. The consortium contains 6 universities / research insitutes. The LUC-group (Environmental Biology) will concentrate on the aspects of heavy metal stress physiology in ectomycorrhizal trees.
