Abstract
Several dolomitic nodules have been discovered at Engihoul( Belgium) from Namurian A (lowermost Upper Carboniferous) levels. They bear permineralized plant remains, including Fungi, Lycophytes, Sphenophytes, Ferns, Pteridosperms and Conifers. The Engihoul locality represents the oldest occurrence of some of these taxa.
