- Production of small scale reference layers, conditions 1996 and 2001, based on land cover databases over Flanders. - Precising of the built-up cover condition to resolution 20m, based on the above mentioned reference layers, in combination with information from aerial orthophotographs 1990 and 1997-2001. - Derivation of policy relevant indices of fragmentation (maps and statistics). - Demonstration study of complentary applications (biodiversity, hydrology, landscape perception), with some quantitatively worked out examples.
