Abstract

The mineral cycling is studied in catchments covered by Spruce. The transfers of elements between the main compartments of the forest ecosystem are statistically analyzed to assess the long term evolution of the nutrient pool and to quantify the consequences of climatic events and of manipulations on the ecosystem functioning. Experiments in microcosms are set up in relation with the in situ observations.
