Abstract

In ant societies, numerous interactions between individuals based on local information and coupled with amplifying processes lead to the emergence of efficient collective structures ( network of foraging trails, nest building,...). We aim at identifying those individual decision rules as well as the genetic and physiological mechanisms that underly collective patterns in ant societies.
