Abstract
Genetic diversity in leguminous plants Phaseolus and Vigna, in cucurbits, and in Andean root and tuber plants (Arracacia, Solanum, Oxalis, Tropaeolum, Ullucus) is studied from botanical, ecogeographical and molecular characters. Analysis of these data as well as breeding system of the target plants is helpful to establish ex situ and in situ conservation
