Abstract
Genetic improvement of Phaseolus vulgaris through interspecific hybridisation with P. coccineus and P. polyanthus requires an optimal technique of in vitro immature hybrid embryo culture. The comparative study of embryogenesis between parents and hybrids and the identification of candidate genes in embryogenesis constitute two objectives to overcome interspecific incompatibility barriers
