This research aims at combining the use of biological control (using predators, parasitoids and pathogens) of crop pests with selective chemical control, in order to get a healthy crop with minimal or no pesticide input. Since arthropod beneficials are often exotic species, they might in the long run compete with the endemic species, thus modifying biodiversity.
